From February 16 to 20 the International Contemporary Art Fair of Madrid will take place. I think that I don’t need to say that this event of A-R-T is a big business. I mean… let’s be realistic. These corporate festivals are nothing but an opportunity for gallerists, artists and entrepreneurs to leverage their networks and so on. So you, the reader, be careful, not everything on sale is art, pay attention to the political implications of each gallery, each expo, which things are tightened and loosened and you will have a better look behind the educational interests of the museums….sorry, I will keep my intellectual face under wraps so I continue to seem stupid, dumb and blonde, I know you like me more like this, xoxo!

Let’s get to the point, the fair will be arranged around 117 galleries with pieces ranging from the historic avant-garde, contemporary classical works and contemporary art. Also integrated into this program, 35 galleries will present their proposals at Arco 40, a section that presents fresh works from new artists. I, being so interested in Eastern Europe and porn stars, will be super happy with the eight Russian galleries forming the Focus Russia program. These rooms will be distributed in several interspersed exhibition halls, to generate this way greater “interaction” among the speakers.

We should also notice that thanks to the AECI,  4 Latin American Art galleries have been selected. This art, as well as Eastern art after the fall of the wall, is super trendy. You know, the first world has to look at its subordinates, make them a place, “to be democratic”. Oh no, I have to be flirtatious, daring, intelligence is for the weak and I’m an old tigress … I shut up again.

ARCO- the International Contemporary Art Fair in Madrid
