A favor: We booked the apartment very last minute, literally the evening before we were due to fly out as we’d been let down by another owner (on Holiday Rentals, not Only Apartments), so we were delighted to find an apartment in our required area. Only Apartments were very helpful and quick. The apartment was very clean and spacious, with all the things we required for our long weekend. As the owners lived nearby, we able to contact them with any queries which they were very happy to help with. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Lisbon.
En contra:It’s not really a criticism, but we found that quite a few taxi drivers didn’t know the location of the apartment, so it may be useful in future to send a map of the location with the bokking details.

En contra:Shower! – Could only have 1 person shower (5 min) before water went cold and you had to wait another 20 minutes before the next person had hot water! Not practical when wanting to get out and about!

En contra:The apartment was offered with terrace or courtyard, but there was none, even the contact person was surprised about the description.
The house is loud, you understand every single word of the neighbours. The floor is absolutely dangerous, it is more a creeping upstairs instead of going. The cooking facilities were in between dirty and rusty, unusable. At an open window you can touch the wall of the next house very easy, you look into a dark hole of dirt and dust … and so it smells.
A favor: We really enjoyed our stay in Via Quattro Venti, Roma. The ‘responsible’ Luca was extremely friendly, helpful and very reliable. He even came to meet us at the station to make sure we didn’t get lost! The appartment is in a quiet building set back from the street & surrounded by small courtyard gardens. It was clean and has good facilities, even more than I remembered from the information given, (dishwasher, washing machine, drying lines outside, hairdryer, iron and board, selection of guide books, good storage). The lovely park Villa Pamphilj nearby is well worth a walk if you have the time. We managed to find the bus stops without problem and actually found it much more relaxing staying outside the main centre as it was quieter, felt very safe and the local people were very friendly, helpful and patient with our poor Italian! There is a very good supermarket (Sidi), nearby, (ask for directions as the entrance is not too obvious), and bakers just outside the entrance. I would happily recommend this accommodation to friends & family.

A favor: excellent service from the host helping with booking taxi to and from airport, and provided all necessities for our late arrival, including availiable breakfast for the next morning. We had a lovely stay. the appartement was a little further from the centre than the impression we had gotten from the net, but useful info on busroutes in the appartement was great help.

Very central to what we wanted to look at.
Although we couldn’t get into the apartment until 2 pm we left our luggage at Atocha RENFE station (about 5-10 mins walk away) for €3 (not the metro) and then went off to explore.
Although apartment contact couldn’t speak English she was very helpful and with our limited Spanish and a lot of hand gestures we muddled through.
Surprisingly quiet considering the streets around us were quite busy (residential).
En contra:Didn’t find the vacuum cleaner.
There is no kettle, only a coffee pot. But, the water boils very quickly in one of the pans because it is an induction hob (but just 2 ‘rings’).
I think the climb to the apartment needs to more stressed – there are 82 steps up to it and we’re reasonably fit and we were puffed out!
If you do have someone on the sofa-bed you have sneak passed them to go to the bathroom.
Not sure it was satellite TV – more like a digital aerial as it has the same channels we can pick up.

En contra:We had a great time and the apartment was beautiful. But unfortunately Only apartments forgot to tell us that the building was being renovated. Every morning at 8.15 men started working, hammering, speaking, yelling in the courtyard, just at the other side of the window of our bedroom.. For being on holiday not nice to be forced to get up so early every day..
The shower in the bathroom has no walls or glass doors so the floor was wet all the time. I offered a towel to dry the floor a bit. So we had to share the other towel together. Not very practical.
The kitchen was lacking a cookingpan for pasta, a strainer and scissors.

A favor: David from amsterdam apartments was very very helpful in finding us somewhere to stay, without him the holiday would have been a total disaster
En contra:When we arrived to meet Philip Stigter at our apartment we called the number that he had told us to call in the email confirmation and a lady answered who basically didn’t have a clue what was going on, she proceeded to tell us that theapartment we had booked was not vacant and had been double booked. We waited around 4 hours for something to be sorted, instead of our apartment that could sleep 11 people we had to settle for an apartment with 2 double beds and 2 sofa beds, which was very very uncomforatable and cramped as we were forced to share.
Not once did we hear from Philip Stigter with an apology, surley this over sight should have been seen when i re-confirmed our stay 2 weeks before we arrived.
The only plus point was David, the young guy from Amsterdam apartments, he did all he could to help sort out his companies mess

En contra:The apartment was totally different from the one on the pictures and was not as well equipped as it was said on a webpage. The neighbours turned out to be quite noisy (coming back loudly at night from some parties and ringing at our door). The equipment was a little damaged. (broken plates not working dishwasher)

En contra:We learnt on arrival that the flat we had booked was not available for “technical reasons” and were directed to another one a couple of houses away. Having no choice in the matter we took it but it’s difficult to know if this flat was really “better” as the contact person said. Especially as the one we had booked was due to have a dishwasher and this one didn’t have one. Not that it mattered for 2 but still…
The straps were broken on one of the lounge curtains so we couldn’t pull them in the evening.
The shower could do with some repairing: the tap falls apart when pulled and the shower head hook needs to be fixed.

En contra:It was a nice place but it had just been painted so the smell was terrible and our eys turned red and irritated. Every morning there were constructionbuilders outside so there was a LOT of noice and the owner knew this but did not tell us untill we were alredy there. Discomusic kept us awake a couple of nights so it was not so easy to sleep.

A favor: We stayed at the Amalfil Apartments, we spent a very good time there, the location was perfect, we loved the area and the studio was very quiet. It is very good that there is an elevator, so we had no problems with the luggages.
En contra:In the Amalfil Apartments the bed was not comfortable, in the middle of the mattress we felt a big hole, so it was not the best for our back. It was very clean, but because of the old building we met with cockroaches in the bathroom. After we made a shower water was dripping in the bathroom from the ceiling. There is no satelite TV.

Iron gate to yard needs to fixed up because of the youngsters keeping noise and drinking beer almost every night just behind our door. The door has no sound isolation so we lost sleep! Our contact person though explained situation (fixing gate needs to be agreed by all apartments) and was understanding and applozing.

En contra:The room did not have basic tourist information i.e map of the city, tourist office location and travel trivia.
Contact person did not have any clue on basic things like where can I park my car, he misguided us and I paid 50 Euro extra for parking for 2 days stay.
Bed was unstable, kids could not sleep, eventually we slept on floor.
Air condition did not work, contact person did not feel apologetic, he tried convincing us that AC is not required.
If you leave the windows open, it gets very noicy. We had to do it unfortunetely as AC was not working.
Contact person had not knowledge and authority to help guests.

A favor: A good and cosy starting point for visiting Athens, park the car near the appartment and take the metro. At the backside of the building; bad view but also no traffic sounds. Very complete equipment an helpfull contact person.

A favor: Apartment is not far from main railway station; easy to walk in 10 minutes. If you enjoy walking you can easily reach the majority of Florence’s main attractions within about 20 to 30 mins.
En contra:On arrival, be aware of the street numbering. There are two numbers 49; one is the tobacco shop on the corner, the other one is the apartment, about 70 metres further north along the street, just after the Enzo Hotel. This mystery was quickly sorted out by the manager, who sent a friendly assistant to point us in the right direction!

A favor: We had a great 4 days in Lisbon. Although the apartment is outside the city it’s very cheap and easy to get there by bus tram or taxi. There are good restaurants and supermarkets nearby and the taxi rank or tram stop are only a stones throw. Airport only 12 euros by taxi. Well placed for Belem plus the bridge. Nice and roomy apartment with modern appliances. Very secure. The landlord, Luis Lima, is a true gentleman. His warmth and hospitality made our holiday special.

A favor: My friends and me stayed in the Opera 2 apartment in Budapest for 5 nights and we all had a wonderful experience there. Thnaks to your site we found a place in the very heart of the city center which enabled us to spend less time in travlelling and gain an opportunity to see more. The apartment was very tiny and comfortable and was supplied with everything necessary for a pleasant vacation for young people like us.
Just want to add speciall thanks to your colleague Angelo Yoverno (hope that’s the way I should spell his name) who did a great job in assisting us with choosing the apartment and making the reservation!
I will definitely use your assistance in my next trips around the world.

En contra:The appartment is far too small for five persons. In the appartment was really a bad smell of burned rubber or something like that. We think that there was a short-circuit somewhere in the kitchen. We had to turn off the electricity for our safity and because of the smell. We tried to warn the contact person by telephone and SMS but there was no adequate and direct reaction. The street is very noisy.

. There is a bus stop in the neighbourhood (2 lines to the city centre, 15 min. by bus to S.Maria del Fiore), nice pastisseria (good place for breakfast) and pizzeria (Pipistrello). Senese appartment is a very good place for those who wish to prepare their evening meals at home. Simple and useful interior design, access to the Internet and interesting pictures on the walls really make you feel like at home… I would happily recommend this location to my friends. What is also important: no deposit required!

at arrival on the airport we gave a call, then at arrival in front of the apartment we called again (9:15 PM). The contact person said he would arrive in 10 minutes. At 9:30 PM I called again, saying he should immediatly come. Finally he arrived at 10 PM, meaning we had to wait in the street about 50 minutes, and that with a one year old baby who needed to sleep.
We also regret there was no baby bed available. The location is quiet noisy at night.

En contra:the staircase is quite narrow – and the (long) way up to the 4th floor is quite “challangeous” with a big suitcase….. – also the smell in the staircase on groundfloor was quite “heavy” the first two days of our stay.

A favor: The location was perfect to visit the town. The apartment was calm and silent, the equipment of good quality (fridge, cooker…).
There was everything we needed to sleep and the towels, so we could come with little luggage. I think it can be perfect for young turist, as the stairs are quite narrow.
En contra:There were any clear information or photos about the stairs to go into the terrace. In the photos on the website, there were an umbrella for the table on the terrace, but there were any. The terrace was quite dirty and full of other things.
About the equipment there were just 4 big mugs, if you like espresso coffee, remember to take some small cups or to buy plastic cups. The coffee machine is for 6-8 cups, but it ‘s an Italian moka!
It seemed that the apartment was not rented since a long time, as it was not very clean, there were some dirt, like the one you have in an non-used apartment.
Regarding the contact person, even if we called when we arrived at the airport (20.40), and we arrived at 21.15 at the apartment, we had to wait for more than one hour in a bar before entering in the apartment( after 22.30). I understand that arriving late in the evening can be more complicated to organize, but as we have to pay an extra charge for the late arrival, I expect the person to be on time. If the extra charge is not requested, I can understand to wait more than one hour.

Our situation, i believe, is not the outstanding – when the host person ask for additional money for late check in, although it is exactly the problem of apartment management (the situation was – we were forced to pay extra 25 euro for the late check in, although we were waiting under the flat door about 30 min for the person with the key will arrive) thank you for proper solving this issue, money were given to us back, but the impression of staying was spoiled a little bit ))

In that case we could not use the dishwashingmachine en the showers only had cold water!

En contra:We had problems with the keys and could not walk in the apartment for nearly 2-3 hours. After long waiting with our bags in the street it finally turned out that we were given a BAD copy of the key. Meantime there was shift change and the night shift person (Henry) was very unfriendly and rude – this was quite bad, so we had to have some talk on raised voice. I think with better attitude and a bit more care for the customers the issue could have been resolved faster and more efficiently. Good word for Pawel, who stayed with us off his shift hours and sorted out the problem. Please advice what we should do to clain reimbursement.

The only serious disadvantage of the appartment is that we needed to pay deposit twice ! Once |I paid the deposit upr fron to Only-apartments through my credit card and second time I needed to pay deposit by bank transfer to the apartment owner….It really pissed me off because of double bank charges. For 100 Euros of wire transfer the bank charged me 40 euro fee…and 40 euros is a three dinners in Lisbon ! Why dont you arrange it in the way that I pay one bigger deposit to onlyappartments and you will share with owner. ??

A favor: We are a family of 5 ,3 kids 14,11,8. We stayed in the Ca del Doge in Venice.( April 2009) It was a beautiful apartment and really close to St Mark’s Square once we knew how to find it! Anna from Grimaldi apatments met us at the vaporetto and sorted us all out. The only thing missing was a vegetable peeler would be really handy in the kitchen as would a toaster (but toast is a very English / Australian thing so it was a problem for us but might not be for others). The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had a washing machine which was very handy. We got lost so many times trying to find our way back there but that was half the fun.

A favor: In general terms no, al has been as described. The apartment this year was very modern and clean. The young womanl who greeted us, Marcia was very helpful and welcoming. The only negative side was a lack of cooking utensils and cooking pots. The owner came out to look at a faulty front door lock for us but unfortunately she could not find anyone to rectify it for us before we returned to the UK.

En contra:I am not sure where to start? Firstly it was almost impossible to get any information from the contact owner called Irene over the first few weeks before going to holidays. I spent my time calling back the agency as i never manage to get any information on own or never reach anybody on the ” owner ” phone number provided on the website. A week before i arrived in barcelonna, i managed to get an account number to transfert a part of the rent which cost me 20 pounds of fees from my bank.. this is just the first part of the story.
When we arrived to barcelonna, we manage to get ” IRENE” through a phone number in Italy. A guy replied and provide her number. We managed to arrange a time to meet.
We met at the adress and because we arrived early, we decided to wait in front of the main entrance of the building. A guy obviously from the building stopped and started asking us where we were supposed to stay. We indicated him we were going to stay in a flat in that building. This guy indicated to us that the flat we were staying was illegal. That he will call the police to check this
When Irene arrived we tried to get more information but she advised she was not aware of it and was just welcoming people for a friend in Italy called Mauro. We trusted her and gave her our money, the rest not already paid by transfert. The guy later on confirmed that he is not owning the flat and sub-renting the flat. Because this guy got all our money we were blocked there… during three days, we were thinking to the worst, being even ejected by the police. For info, one of the person is actually pregnant.
The flat doesn t look at all as on the picture… doors were broken, windows from kitchen too, flat very noisy, the kitchen is very basic, no oven, and bed were not confortable at all.
How can an agency accept to rent a flat like this one? Do they are not checking if the persons renting is the owner? I didn’ t spend good holidays at all and i am very upset by the service

A favor: I have stayed in one of your apartments before and it was a pleasant experience. The apartment was newly refurbished and clean. Also, I was met on arrival by a person and paid deposit and received deposit back on departure upon checking the apartment.
En contra:Staying in Princesa A was the worst ever place I’ve ever stayed in. I simply do not know where to start complaining.
Firstly, a picture of the so called ‘batroom’ which was more like a cupoboard should be on the website!! I could not believe my eyes when saw it. I am very tall person 177cm and could not stand straight whilst trying to have a shower or move around as there was so limited space to manouvre around. also, it is in desperate need of renovation.
It should be mandatory to have pictures of every room including bathroom online as I did not even think how horrible this could be. Had I seen it, I would have not booked this spartment for sure.
Secondly, the bedlinen and towels had not been washed properly in hot enough water as they STANK!! The same kind of smell occurs only when you wash cotton in 30-40c and not dry them properly. This means the hygiene standard of the landlord or whoever is responsble for the maintenance is appalling. I had to buiy my own towel and pillowcase as did not feel comfortable sleeping on those.
Thirdly, this particular area is surely not the trendy part of El Borne as indicated online being every local persons preferred area to live. This particular area and alleyway/street was extremely noisy until 3-4 a.m with people shouting in the street and of course I could not close the door/window properly so literally had no sleep during my stay at all (I called to have this fixed but nobody came during my stay). Also, I understood El Borne is a very trendy area,however, this alleyway/street surely is not in the trendy part. I felt very unsafe coming back late at night as had African men following me and whistling.
Again, there should be a area specification regarding the area e.g not recommended for business visitors.
ALso, I did not feel comfortable paying my deposit on credit card and not getting it back immediately on departure. How could I be sure that no damage is done to the apartment once I have left it!
My colleague stayed in one of your other apartments and his apartment was clean and decent and also he received his deposit back on departure.
This horrific experience left a very bad memory in my mind from apartmentramblas.com and will be careful where to book next time. I travel to Barcelona every few months and will NOT book through your website unless have compensation for this horrific experience.

En contra:The advert suggests a washing machine, which was there, but not functioning (inconsistency with advertisement and apt). I was upset because I only packed so many clothes and wish I would have known! Bathroom has poor water pressure and can’t ‘flush anything down’ as per notice on door. Wish it was cheaper for what it is! Wish I would have known there were blog/reviews of the apt before I booked!
A favor: We booked the apartment very last minute, literally the evening before we were due to fly out as we’d been let down by another owner (on Holiday Rentals, not Only Apartments), so we were delighted to find an apartment in our required area. Only Apartments were very helpful and quick. The apartment was very clean and spacious, with all the things we required for our long weekend. As the owners lived nearby, we able to contact them with any queries which they were very happy to help with. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Belgrade.

En contra:The apartment was advertised as having air conditioning – there was no air con available. This was a prerequisite for us when booking this accommodation so very disappointed that it was not available – we experienced 30 degree heat while in Paris and would not have booked this apartment if we knew that air con was not available. Apparently the owner of the apartment brings a air con unit in only during th hottest months of summer.
A favor: the apartment was just super. We were 6 people (colleges who attended in a congress) and had a great time. Very nice people who owned the apartment, it was clean and wellequipped located in a nice neighbourhood, great restaurents and shops.
Close to the Metro station We thought that there were one more bedroom, and that we should clean ourselfes. The latter we were very happy with not to have to.
En contra:The desciption from the homepage differed with reality. There was not as many bedrooms as told.

A favor: The apartment in Barcelona was very much like the info given. Very comfortable, with all ammenities available. Noemi, Carla, Monica all excellent, friendly and wonderful to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this site to anyone and look forward to our next European vacation and will use this site to find accomodations.
En contra:The only “problem” was the EXTREMELY hot water. I love a hot shower but the water is scalding which also makes the metal faucet handle hot and not touchable—-needed to use a cloth to turn off hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sinks.

A favor: Adriana was waiting for us at the apartment before the 2.00 pm deadline, allowing us to leave our luggage there. She came as agreed at 9.00h on our day of departure. Everything was as we could have hoped for.
En contra:Nothing serious. The address is given on the web site as Calle Diputacio, whereas on all the maps and road signs it is Carrer Diputacio. The only problem this cause was when trying to locate the apartment on a Google Map before leaving.

A favor: I was happy with the apartment overall. The contact person was very helpful and was waiting for us when we arrived.
En contra:I asked our contact where we could leave our luggage on our final day and he said at your office at 13 Castellans. However, on the day we left (fri 29th May) we found this all locked up. This caused us all sorts of problems, as we had not planned where else to leave it. We ended up having to take all suitcases and my 2 children on the metro to try and find a locker and whilst doing this my bag containing passports and money etc was stolen. This completely ruined our last day, which we spent at the embassy getting emergency passports. I realise this was not your fault, but if we had been able to leave our luggage where we were told we would I don’t think that situation would have occured. We wanted to go to Parc Guell on the last day and ended up missing it which was extremely dissapointing. A terrible end to an otherwise lovely holiday.

En contra:Very unfriendly contact who seemed annoyed because we arrived late due to flight delay and considering they were renting to an English person the contact spoke no English ! She Grabbed the money and was out the door before i had time to ask her anything. The apartment was in a council block and 30 minutes after our arrival there was a local woman knocking on the door complaining about the noise ! I was told i would not be able to use one of the beds so i had to make one up on the floor! Also the Agency charged me a whopping 145 Euros as commission on a 5 night stay!
A favor: The apartment was clean when we arrived and was modern and quite well furnished. We were supplied with plenty of towels for the two weeks, and dressing gowns (which we had not expected). The apartment was in a quiet location and well served by local food shops. There was constant hot water, and a good TV.
Despite our negative comments below, we had a very good holiday, which is why we would be prepared to use your service again.
En contra:Despite having made a timed appointment by email, the contact person was not there when we arrived at the appointed time. When we phoned, we found that she had also turned off her mobile telephone, and we had no other means of contacting her! Luckily, we speak Italian and were able to talk to a neighbour, who was able to call a different contact, a young man who came to let us in after about 20 minutes. For non-Italian speakers this could have been a very worrying and distressing start to a holiday, and we regard it as a major lapse of service. This is why we would not be able to recommend your service to our friends.
The apartment was half underground and was damp (clothes and bedding became distinctly damp overnight and windows needed to be opened to dispel a damp smell). This may have been due to leaking pipes which were being mended while we were there, but we do not know if this will have resolved the problem.
We were only given one pair of sheets. Had we washed them ourselves, they would not have dried in a day because of the dampness in the flat. They were therefore used for two weeks, which is not ideal.
In spite of the note on your email that the cleaning was weekly, it was not cleaned whilst we were there.
The young man who eventually arrived to let us in, whilst very pleasant and helpful, obviously did not know the flat that well, as we were only shown vital pieces of cooking equipment on the morning that we left (by the original contact)! Even so, the flat could do with some large cups/mugs (only small coffee cups were supplied).

En contra:In the appartment there was a list of rules. These rules said that visitors can only stay after 2200 in the apartment when the porter is informed. The porter however, told me that I had to pay 50 zloty per person when they would stay after 2200. The reservation receipt did not mention this.

En contra:Mala organización entre Only Apartments y la persona de contacto. A la llegada, no no dieron el DUPLEX reservado, sino otro apartamento. A la persona de contacto no le constaba que hubiésemos alquilado un duplex, de hecho no tenía ningún tipo de información, se la tuvimos que dar nosotros. Tuvimos que pasar la noche en ese apartamento pues el duplex estaba alquilado a otro grupo. A la mañana siguiente nos dicen que podemos pasar al duplex y que durante el día lo limpiarían. En el tercer día, estando nosotros dentro, intentó meter un nuevo grupo en nuestro apartamento. Buenas intenciones pero resultados pobres.

En contra:Cocina mal equipada (faltan utensilios como cuchillos, trapos, etc…).
Hay cucarachas.
Los enchufes no funcionan si apagas la luz, lo cual impide cargar cámaras fotográficas y móviles durante la noche.
No tiene aire acondicionado.
Es muy ruidoso y se oye todos los ruidos de la calle.
A favor: We stayed in Hospital B in Barcelona. Our contact spoke very good English and we had no trouble getting te key and all the info. We liked the location of this appartment, thats the mainreason we choose this appartment. We knew not to expect too much, but actually it was a little better than expected, it had enough space, except for the bathroom. A nice appartment when you choose not to pay to much and only there for sleeping.
En contra:Shower-nozzle was broke, door to bathroom was hard to open and close, very very small shower-space and toilet-space (you had to let the door open when you wanted to use the toilet).
There was to little kitchen-equipment (there where 5 of us and there was ony for 4 people equipment). The decoration could need a little help.
A favor: The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect as everything is nearby. The size of the apartment is very nice as it feels very spacious and airy. The white floors and walls make it look contemporary.
Our contact has been very welcoming, pleasant and helpful.
En contra:The only thing I would say is that the pictures on the website feature some furniture which is not in the apartment. The bathroom towels need to be changed as they don’t look clean and are very used. A bin in the bathroom would be quite useful. Some spare toilet paper could be stocked somewhere. Apart from that, everything is absolutely perfect.
A favor: The apartment was very spacious and had all the equipment and facilites we needed. Good location to marina, shopping and bars/clubs.
En contra:The apartment was quiet dustyn so we all suffered with dusty noses and sneezes.
Overall in relation to everything the apartment was in a great place, unfortunately the area has gone very downhill. For a group of girls travelling together we did not feel safe. Around the building was constanly hundreds of prostitutes, drug users and pushers and men generally hanging about all day just to cause trouble for girls. I nearly got mugged and witnessed 2 muggings, all in the space of 3 days. Day time was lovely but pick pocketing and muggings is rife. The police were very very helpful and as our apartment was down an alley way they escorted us back every night, purely because of the harrassment we received. The men will grab you, they will try to touch you and they hang about in large groups. This shouldn’t be a reflection of the actual apartment though which was lovely and great value for money whilst you were inside.

En contra:The info provided on the website was not complete. It was not mentioned (or i cannot recall this) that the appartment has actually one room half in the basement and it has no clean air window, but actually in an interior area of a block of flats, like in a chimney where all kitchen and bathrooms windows were placed (plus the stairs). Thus you can imagine the noise and the smell.
Another bad thing was the hummidity inside due to some pumps broken. In the first night the air was unbereable and remained almost unchanged during the whole period.
As a conclusion: when I will be back to barcelona, I might get the services offered by the Apartmentsramblas.com, but for sure not come back to Anaconda appartment.

Our stay was very comfortable it is the best aprtment i have stayed in and would recommend it to any and everybody. The location was very convenient as you have an atm machine across the road and right by it you have a supermarket. If that was not enough the Duomo was only 15 minutes walk.

I really enjoyed my stay, everything I needed was in this apartment, the location was good, the landlord was friendly, easy to communicate with and very helpful. I had lots of extra space with a satelite tv and a balcony. It was 100 times better than staying at a hotel and the price was very reasonable too. I would definately reccomend staying at Casa Vathel. A favor: The apartment was good value for money, and was perfect for our trip to Primavera Sound festival. The kitchen was great for cooking small meals, and overall the place was spacious and well laid out.
En contra:Very noisy, but I as to be expected in Barcelona over the weekend. The apartment overall was clean, however the bedding was not, or hadn’t been aired properly, and the only other sheets available were in a similar state. One of the double beds was not supported in the centre and very uncomfortable.
A favor: The Apartment was as described. Train link to city is good.
En contra:The apartment was in a noisy location so sleep was not easy. People sleeping in park across road and under veranda of building made it unsafe for the children. No phone for taxis to call this made leaving apartment difficult. Bathrooms not safe with holes in floor. Communication not great from person who met us at apartment. no info on how things worked available.
A favor: The apartment was very convenient and centrally-located. Close to market.
En contra:There was one major drawback though: when we arrived at 6:30 p.m. the apartment hadn’t been cleaned nor the sheets changed. It wasn’t a sty or anything but after calling the management, we waiting at least an hour before someone came to clean while we hung out on the outside patio for an hour-and-a-half for them to finish up. The place was very clean afterwards though. Also, they only provided one roll of toilet paper for four people for the whole weekend, so we had to go buy our own. Oh and there wasn’t enough hot water for all four of us to take five minute showers.
A favor: Wow, The contacts for this apartment went beyond any expectation to make you welcome in the apartment they had information on how to get around Rome and also in True Italian Style made you feel very comfortable and at home. the apartment was clean and tidy and everything was available for you. I loved my stay in Rome more because of this apartment.
