Folsom Europe Berlin, the biggest gay-leather party on the continent – Part 1

Anyone approaching the streets Welserstrasse and Fuggerstrasse in Berlin on the 4th of September between noon and ten at night, will witness a simply impressive show: twenty thousand people from dozens of different countries participating in the continent’s most important gay- leather street fair: the Folsom Europe. There will be stands of associations, clubs, bars, clothing fetish stores and BDSM equipment manufacturers …
At ten o’clock at night the street fair will end, but don’t think that means the party’s over: one hour later the PIG party will kick off, the official party of Folsom Europe. If you hope to gain admission, make sure to bust out your best, as the dress code is strict: you must be wearing leather, rubber, vinyl or a uniform. Every year there are more and more daring and dramatic models on the dance floor. This year much attention has been paid to music with the likes of DJs Paul Heron, PerQX, Frank Wild, Manuel Carranco or Connie Casserole. It will be celebrated in a massive abandoned communist school in Gerichtsstrasse which is a truly original and suggestive location…
On Saturday April, the street fair will continue and the PIG party will take place, and in fact throughout the week (from the 1st until the 6th) there will be many other activities, workshops, film screenings and parties at night (the most important, WOOF and PERVERTS), always around the gay-fetish-leather theme.
All these activities, especially the parties PERVERTS and PIG are restricted exclusively to men … But the organizers have dedicated an alternative festival to women and transgender women: soon we’ll be back with details.
