People tend to think that they’re the only ones suffering from the financial crisis. Individualism is becoming the new order. So here is my question: who takes the time to think about starving populations? And even close to you, in the same town, maybe the same street, take a second to think of those who can barely survive while all you hear around you is people complaining.
That’s why the work of NGO and local associations matters so much. If you want to show your support in their fight, come to the DJs Against Hunger Festival or FESTIVAL DJs CONTRA LA FAM 2009 in Barcelona!
This festival offers electronic music and visual arts; the previous editions witnessed over 33 000 people along with more than 100 artists who came to support the initiative. This year, the proceeds will go to those facing drug addiction problems and AIDS.
More than just a commitment, this is your chance to spend an amazing day dancing to the music of the best DJs. You will also find lots of workshops and art shows etc. Come to this event and have a great time in the sun sharing this experience with fun people like you!
As usual, this festival will take place in the gorgeous Mercat Fira de Bellcaire (Els Encants Vells) in order to offer you scenery worthy of the awesome program that awaits you. The animations are set by theme: 2 main stages, a resting area with hammocks, and the Feria de Entidades and its Showcase; P.A.C.A.S (The Cultural Activities for Social Action Programme ). You’ll submerge with pleasure into this cool pool of electro sounds provided by the best DJs : The Pinkertones, Vicknoise, Filastine Dj set, Monoculture, Absent F, Goldfinger Crew, Institut Fatima, Toni Rox Dj, Alex Martín Dj, Ultraplayback ,Sendo A.K.A. Dosem, DJ Search, Special Guest Djs, Black ICE, Burning Ladillas, MCMX and The Oddviser.
The entrance only costs 10 euros which will be spent on a good cause since it will help the NGO. So, come on, rent your apartments in Barcelona and have some fun while committing yourself to a worthy cause at the DJs Against Hunger Festival Barcelona.
