   Very pleasant location, 5 min. walking to the close city center, sometimes a little bit noisy beacause of neighbours , The owner very helpfull and contact person. We recommend this place.

   The apartment was immaculately clean and in a FABULOUS central location only 5 minutes walk from La Latina Metro station.

   It has and *excellent* shower though there are some drainage issues (which are listed in the “against”)

   Even though it is self catering they change your towels every three days (though their ability to communicate this was limited – see “against” section)

   The apartment has a high level of security there is a lockable front door which accesses the building then another thick lockable door which accesses the corridor containing the apartments and then a lockable door which accesses your own apartment (their ability to communicate which key was for which was limited though fairly easy to work out but had there been an access problem during the stay ..(see “against” section)). When we went the green key was for the external door, the gold key was for the corridor door and the silver key was for the apartment door.

   They provide you with some plates, glasses, mugs, two sharp knives of which one is reasonably sharp, cutlery (limited pans see “against” section), a slotted spoon to drain things, a sieve, a toaster, a pot that probably could heat up hot water for one mug though I think the pot is supposed to be used to brew coffee and a toaster plus two electric hob rings (but no oven or microwave – see “against”). They also provide you with a small fridge (with a very small freezer section that is really only of any use for making ice cubes and needs defrosting – see “against”) and a dustpan and brush plus a mop and bucket.

   The drainage on the shower system is *poor* if you shower for more than a few minutes the shower overflows onto the bathroom floor so we had to adapt to shower to get wet then turn it off and let it drain whilst we soaped ourselves then shower for a few moments to wash off the soap then turn it off and let it drain whilst we shampooed our hair then turn the shower on again to wash off the shampoo. It is not a massive problem just so long as you are prepared to adapt to the drainage system. I am not sure if the apartment owner could do anything to improve the drainage.

   You have to phone them when you arrive in Madrid to let them know what time you are due to be at the apartment so they can meet you with the keys. I was given a mobile contact for the person who was to meet me and when I phoned and asked to speak to him the lady I spoke to didn’t seem to understand any English at all – I kept on repeating his name and saying La Latina apartment C etc and eventually she seemed to work out that I was due to stay and trying to tell what time I would arrive. When we did get to La Latina metro station we actually walked right past the street as I thought Santa Ana Street 20 was going to actually be the Street Name (like in America where you have 25th Street etc) but basically you need to just exit La Latina Metro station for Calle Toledo (Toledo Street) and walk about half way down, on the left there is a big internet café and this street leads onto or is Santa Ana Street. Even when we had found the street we walked right past the apartment! The door (number 20) is *so* inconspicuous there is nothing on it to mention H2H apartments or even that it is anything other than a set of flats for local people…but eventually we worked out the numbers were going 14, 12, 10 etc so realized we were walking the wrong way and turned back. There was a guy with a bike waiting outside – again no indication that he was anything to do with H2H apartments but we just said to him La Latina C and it became evident he was the guy meeting us. However he seemed to have *zero* English………so after some sign language he took us up to the fourth floor (it is a spiral staircase so if you are not good with stairs or carrying luggage up and down this apartment is not good for you) and we gave him the money including the 150 euro deposit. We were told that we had to make arrangements for him to meet us on our departure date and after the apartment had been checked then the 150 euro deposit would be refunded. He counted the cash (the remainder of the rent and the 150 euro deposit) and then (at least he is an honest guy) gave us the 150 euro back. He had seemed to work out that it was deposit money but since he had no English was unable to explain why it was not needed..he just gave it us back. We then had more sign language to try to work out what he was saying about the towels and from that we worked out that every three days the towels should be left outside and they would be changed and then more sign language to work out which key does what. I tried to ask him about departure – trying to arrange a time for him to meet us on the departure day but (again via sign language) he indicated that all we had to do was leave the apartment keys on the table and pull the doors too after us (they self lock). His lack of basic English made the whole thing difficult. Also we did leave the towels out every three days but on one of the times they were taken and none were given back! Fortunately we had brought our own anyway – next day the new towels arrived so either we had got the three day thing mixed up or she had just made an error on one of the days and not replaced the towels.

   Had there been a problem accessing the building/apartment (which on one day I found that no matter how I turned the key I was not able to get into the main building) there was no contact card given to us to keep and take out with us (or even any guarantee that you would be able to speak to anyone who had basic English) so we were panicking thinking that was it – we would end up having to sleep on the streets and not be able to get access to our things etc. Fortunately next time I tried the key I was able to open the door and from that point forth made a note to take out with me of the contact number of the man who had met us plus the H2H office number.

   The frying pan they provided was *very* small and so thin it bent as soon as you touched it and they provided you with a casserole type pot which was not none-stick so no matter how much oil you used the food still ended up sticking. With only two hob rings and no microwave or oven it meant the food you could prepare was very limited. The fridge is also very small with no real viable freezer section and the small section that it did have badly needed defrosting. Also, at first, the fridge was pre-set too high to it ended up semi-freezing the food we had bought which was a waste of money/food. Ideally a slightly larger fridge/freezer would help and a microwave or microwave with oven/grill would be useful. There is also zero food preparation space, you literally only have the inch or two of wood around the sink and hob……….but, if you are prepared to adapt….you can manage for a week or two. I brought porridge with me for breakfast and some 5 minute flavored ready to boil rice to be the main accompaniment to the main meal and this was a lifesaver. There were no breakfast bowls provided so I ended up buying a storage container locally and using that though I could have adapted a 2 litre empty drinks bottle and cut the bottom off it to act as a cereal bowl…..

   On the whole the cooking facilities are very limited and just about one step up from camping but with imagination and adaptability are fine for a week or two…….I managed to make things like fried eggs and bacon for breakfast, omelets and mince and onions for the main meal plus a few heat it up readymade type meals from cans – added to the rice I had already brought we managed fine.

   Although there seems to be a lot of “against” NONE of them would put me off recommending this apartment to any potential client – all of them were able to be adapted around and the price plus the location more than make up for any of the “against”

   A quiet place in a central district. Friendly and informative owner. A small but well organised and cosy apt. where one felt good. comfortable access to public transportation and walks from the apt. We would not hesitate to come back.

   Kitchen equipment and utensils are insufficient for cooking. You can do no more than the simplest things. And we missed a lamp over the mirror in the bathroom. Anything else in the apt. is close to perfect.

   Great apartment, owner was really friendly and helpful -recommended a great restaurant! We only stayed there for 1 night but it was ideal, close to the centre and plenty of space for 6 girls and all our luggage!!

    This apartment was perfect for our big group. We loved the terass! Metro station was only few feet away and it took less than 15minutes to get to the center.
    The neighbourhood was kind of the poor side of paris, but what does it matter?!

    Against: The apt. 4 walls, a bed and a sofa. We never saw this unkind welcoming and coldness in Europe apt. We were extremlly diappointed, as we considered going to a hotel and forget about the money.

    shower towels size of hand towels, not even hand soap. Mr lee gave us a miletry check on the kitch. pots that we didn’t even get in the army, and we both were in the army. your site should reconsider this apt and we will reconsider your site

    One of the double beds is so bad that we actually put the mattress on the floor and slept on it. Dishwasher and washing machine not actually working on Aug 2010. Some problem with the plumbing (slight odour from toilet drainage)

    It is very nice stylish apartment with all needed equipment. You can park a vehicle near the building or at the parking. Very friendly English speaking owners stay in the same block and can be helpful. Recommend to young couples and families.

    This apartment is very central and perfect for students exploring central Berlin. Checkpoint Charlie, Gendermarkt only minutes away. Nightclubs just a few stops away with the u-bahn. Everything catered for!:) Owner was more than helpful!

    Apartment block itself was off the mainstreet but located in a badly lit area. At night it was slightly intimidating entering the apartments . . .could improve lighting in courtyards, corridors and stairwells.

    The apartment is excellent situated in the city center, but…

    …as Ljubljana has a very lively nightlife noise (live music, disco beats, celebrating guests in restaurants round the corner,…) shouldn´t bother one.
    A coffee making facility like a coffee press would be great!

    Very nice location in the center of Budapest. Almost every barstreet or shoppingstreet is in walking distance. The owner of the appartment is very nice and he makes sure you have a comfortable stay. The price is real good value + you got wifi.

    One of the 4 beds is a little bit wooden and not so comfy, so people with stiff backs shouldn’t sleep there.

    Charming little penthouse flat with central position in town and an excellent view from the balcony. – toilet and shower facilities excellent.

    Entrance, lift and staircase to the flat is “slumlike” – dark, bad illumination, no rescue-possibility in case of fire – ” a firetrap”
    No instuctions of “what to do in case of fire” – or any sign of safety efforts – Is this legal ?

    Great location, central yet quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep!
    Clean apartment, all mod cons, secure building and apartment door and windows, friendly contact person. Nice church view from window. Would stay again if cons addressed.

    Some shoddy fixtures and fittings e.g. loose socket for kettle and exposed wires thus dangerous! Kitchen tap was wonky. Drainage issues in bathroom..sometimes the smell was really bad. Dodgy bedside lamp and one other light not working.

    The metro is 5 minutes from the apartment.

    The beds needs refreshments.
    The open bad in the second room is broken, It’s impossible to use it as double bad.

    Budapest is a great city. The appartment is enough for 2 persons. All you need is there. With the bus (5 min walk) you are whithin 30 minutes in the city (Pest). We recomment this appartment when you have time to visit the city.

    Great location, for local life and walking distance to places of interest. Comfortable bed and a quiet street, so no cars/bikes really. Overall good value for money which would be indeal for 1 person or a Couple.

    Exaggerated description around the aminities provided, i.e. there was no Toaster, and no DVD Player. Cooking utensils were dirty and there was no washing-up liquid. Basic cooking materials were lacking like Olive Oil, Herbs, Salt/Pepper etc.

    To much noise(made by young tourist) at the night. Of the 9 nights, only 2 nights were silent. In the morning to much noise of the local people. And a sleeping nightguard.

    real great apartment, large size, good beds, excellent location. So all together super place to stay!

    the bedsofa for 1 person was not great to sleep on it, the guy who has te sleep on it, used an airbed instead!

    The apartment is located very close to a metro stop – Portazgo. This metro line takes you to Sol in about 15 minutes. There is a supermarket nearby and the area is very quiet. Susana and Jesus were very helpful during our stay.

    There is not a lot to do in the area around the apartment. Also, there is no elevator in the building and the apartment is on the 5th floor.

    Nice apartment, if you do not mind sleeping with a couple of people in one room. Kitchen and bathroom are basic, but good enough. The district is perfect, walking distance to the centre and enough public transport. Supermarket nearby.

    We missed a good coffee machine and the TV’s were really small; one did not work properly. Radio would have been nice.

    Beautiful apartment in the centre of the city. We didn’t had to walk far at all when looking for a pub, a supermarket, cultural events,…
    The apartment is really calm and quiet.

    It was hard finding the reception where we could pick up the key.

    Convenient location, newly renovated and clean, great value for its price – whenever in Madrid, we’ll choose this apartment again.

    It’s a little bit noisy in the morning (especially if the window is opened), which doesn’t bother me at all, but I’m used to city noises back home. There’s a real drama with local supermarkets (fresh food not available).

    Flat close to Les Corts metro station. Recently refitted and refurbished but all IKEA stuff so very fragile. Price is good for four people, about 100 euros per day.

    Web site said there was wi-fi, but there wasn’t. Bed linen was very scant. Only one lid for the pots. Flat was clean but the bed linen soiled. Outside the flat there was a nocturanla infestation of the largest cockroaches I have ever seen.

    The apartment is used as washing central for all other apartments by the owner, so the owner comes and goes sometimes with laundry (sheets & towels).

    The district is fabulous, and the flat is really nice. Railway station and trams within 5 minutes walking distance, and lots of cafés and reataurants just around the corner.
    The bathroom and the linen was clean!

    The cleaning was not up to par: long, black hairs on the floor of the living room, greasy cutlery and an unappetizing refrigerator. No coffee-maker as announced, and no kettle.
    A reading lamp in the living room would have been nice!

     Fantastic location, some previous comments had stated the road noise was bothersome, we didn’t find it so. The owners had supplied the best welcome pack that we have ever had. There was food, milk, coffee, filter papers etc. Would use again!

     Only one mirror in the whole apartment. An additional easy chair would have been a bonus. But overall a fantastic apartment we’d happily stay in again.

     The bath is quite new and nice – even that the drain didn´t work that well.

     The loft is spacious enough and has got a garage.

     The stay in the Loft Pantin was rather uncomfortable because of the following reasons:
     -The entire loft was dirty, no cleaning had been done before our arrival, there was also dust everywhere.
     -The fitted sheets were dirty and used.
     -The sofas were not clean, especially behind them were rubbish like old socks, lighter, pencils etc…
     -Dirty kitchen utilities were put back in the board and drawers.
     -The Loft is described to be for families with children, but the security is a big concern, especially the wires to protect for falling off the upper floor -are not safe for little children at all.
     -The sofa-bed in the upper floor is not usable, children can easily fall down when sleeping.
     -The master-bed was broken and sleeping in it is a nightmare, it could be sticked together but would eventually fall apart again when sleeping.
     -Mouse or mice running around, especially in the kitchen and unfortunately there were no food storage.
     -Dishwasher was broken and only got repaired in the last 3 days of our stay.
     -The cleaner was only sent after we complained that the Loft was messy.
     -Contact person seems nice at the beginning. He said he wanted to come to meet us before we left to discuss the situation but never came.
     -We even took picture and sent them to the contact person but he didn’t take the mess seriously enough and didn’t want to compensate anything just for a mouse and dust as he said.

     The constant use of having to ring the contact person made the stay very expensive since i was dialling an international number. Within the apartment it was clean and had enough equipment although i think there should be more pots measuring jug and other things that you would find in a kitchen..

     I cannot put all the information in the fields so i will email you my feedback.
     The apartment block where we stayed was rather dirty and it was not advertised that other families would be living in the rest of the building on a permanent basis. Before we arrived i e-mailed stating my arrival time and was told somebody would be waiting for us but when we arrived there was nobody there so had to telephone and wait 40 minutes for somebody to let us in. Only 1 key is provided which is quite inconvenient when travelling as a group. The facilities were not as advertised…there was no hairdryer or iron so had to telephone for that.

     The contact person was great, met us outside the appartment which was easy to find and was very helpful once inside the apartment. The apartment was great value for money and well located. It was reasonably clean and very comfortable.

     The kitchen tiles could have done with a good wipe! Cooking equipment good but could have been better i.e. more than three cups/glasses and take away broken cup. One cereal bowl a bit annoying with three people, we ate in shifts! Kettle?

     The apartment clean, easily accessible, not central but very close to one of the stops on hop-on-hop-off tour. This was a real bonus and made access to the city very easy.

     It was a little noisy at night which didn’t really bother us, but would mean that it probably wouldn’t suit a young family. A bit of a dodgy shower though!

     Drainage of shower insufficient.
     Leaving at the end of your stay is tricky, as you have to leave the keys in the apartment, but the main entrance door only opens with the key…

     i found it too hot to sleep in the bed as it was upstairs and it was very warm up there even with the air conditioning on and also the stairs are extremely steep.

     Relatively far from the city center – no chance to walk there. Few nearby shops, cafes and restorants.
     Bath cabin is too small and inconvenient. Kitchen is too small for 5 people.
     Upper neighbours are noisy.

     The apartment looked beautful and was a good size for sharing. We felt very weclome with flowers on the table and a bottle of wine. The shower and sauna were lovely. Travel advice was helpful – but hard to find the front door in the dark.

     There was very litte equipment for cooking – only one saucepan.
     While there was a little space to hang a few clothes in a wardrobe, there were no drawers or cupboards available, making it impossible to unpack.

     Excellent location just a few meters off the Ramblas, only very noisy at night but of course that is a choice you have to make. Bathrooms were very clean and the apartment was very spacious. Also good was the airconditioning.

     There wasn’t enough light – only 2 small windows and the lights inside were not sufficient. The stair was a bit dangerous so we were not able to carry the suitcase upstairs. Airconditioning didn’t reach all of the rooms.

     This apartment should come with the warning that the Internet photo and the real thing are two very different things. the only plus is the central location, but that’s it. It is tiny and very dark with two small windows – one is facing some sort of inner balcony full of rubbish in level with the window (not an exaggeration). We tried to open it during the dinner to let the sun in but the picture outside was so disgusting that we needed some time to recover. No natural light at any time of the day.There are very limited kitchen facilities (eg no oven, no cattle to boil the water for tea/coffee, etc); cockroaches.
     No telephone. We asked to accommodate three people, but they only provided for two. Ironically, they make you sign lo-o-o-o-ng list of conditions with numerous fines which have only one criteria “at owner’s discretion”.
     SO, guys, its up to you but for me, this place is not an option ever!

     Great location, short distance to the beach and local shops. It was not a touristy area which was nice, we felt we got to experience the ‘real’ Valencia. The owners were lovely and very helpful.

     Air conditioner was a bit annoying as we had to keep emptying the water bucket, but it was ok and didn’t ruin the experience- overall a great holiday!

     Extremely comfortable and modern appartment. Nicely equipped kitchen with all that we needed. We ate there most nights. Everything super clean. Elsa, the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Lidl supermarket and underground/tram close by.

     Although located very near Lisbon centre, it is not in a nice area and we felt worried about walking back from the underground station to the appartment at night with our children. That is the ONLY drawback.

     Clean and well equiped, walking distance to Old City and Gaudi. It had an enormous TV. 3 bedrooms were perfect for us and our 3 children. The fact that it had its own parking place was a big advantage.

     The microwave did not work but otherwise the apt. was wonderful.

     Apartment Lancaster is so close to the Ramblas that in 2/3 minutes you’re there by foot. Lots of mini markets around it.
     Confortable, clean and neat inside.

     To get, to the apartment you have to get through a lot of stairs, after a entire day of walking it’s bit of a bugger.
     At night there’s a lot of noise… that’s what you get when you’re so close to the Ramblas…

     Apartment was very good for our purpose. Nice to have a fridge and internet wi-fi. Good big bath and good little kitchen. Nice flat screeen tv with CNN and BBC World Service. 2 Beds and a Settee to sleep but OK.

     The area is very quiet with one little shop at Fischerinsel 6. Although the Spittlemarkt U-Bahn is 5 minutes away it still lacks a bit of atmosphere. If you dont mind that it`s a good little apartment.

     Someone stole stuff out of our appartment, as soon as we called onlyappartments they send over their contactperson and he offered to pay us our losts and he changed our doorlocks within an hour. I was impressed by that service!

     I have nothing against (except for maybe the view from our balcony). I would suggest onlyappartments to others, the appartments are nice and you don’t pay to much for what you get!

     The apartment is very nice, especially the terrase. It is located only 15 minutes from the centre of Trastevere, and there is a bus right outside the door that takes you to central Rome. The owner is very helpfull and speaks good english.

     There are many mosquitoes on the terrase, probably because of the many plants. Bring spray! At night it gets a bit noisy due to buses and scooters on the street. The kitchen is very nice, but the equipment are insufficient for larger cooking.
